Hi Everyone,
This weekend I held an open house. I thought it was a lot of fun. I brought some fresh baked cookies(baking is my super power!) I met some new people and enjoyed the conversations that we had. One of the people was visiting their newly remodeled childhood home and was just like a kid in a candy shop. What could be better? The entire thing got me thinking about open houses in general. I love them, but it has recently come to my attention that some people do not love them.
I found the home I currently live in at an open house. When I walked in I fell in love almost instantly. My husband did too. I was so surprised to find that we were the only people who attended that open house. We stayed almost the entire time checking out the neighborhood and talking to the neighbors who were outside working. Almost immediately we made the decision that we were going to put in an offer. We asked our realtor at the time to schedule a private showing and we walked through and fell in love with the house again. It was just calling us. I have been thankful ever since that there was an open house. I am thankful we attended that open house. I am equally as happy that we were the only ones who did.
I want to know your take on open houses. Do you love them or do you hate them and why? Did you also find your dream home as an open house? Did you feel like there was too much competition and pressure? If you are a realtor, did you have success selling houses by holding open houses. Did you find new clients to help through an open house? I would love to hear from you. Please feel free to respond to this blog! Send me an email at Elizabethgiddensc21@gmail.com.
Have a Wonderful Day! Enjoy this beautiful weather that we are having here in Maryland!
